When an integrated label is removed from a document, a silicon liner patch remains. Some retailers prefer to remove this via a perforation as it serves no further purpose and does nothing to enhance the look of the form. The preprinted text on the face and reverse needs to be positioned around the label area and if the label is a fair size, there is a restriction to the amount of text that can be preprinted due to the lack of space available.

With Linerless Labels, the label sits on top of the form and when removed, preprinted text underneath can be read. This also opens up the space on the reverse as there is no backer patch required.
